A hearty 'Welcome Back' to Peters and her fictional family of Egyptologists. Once again, it is the digging season in Egypt. The family, which has grown quite large, is all there with the exception of the foster son David who, with his wife, is expecting the start of their family. As is to be expected, Amelia and Emerson find mystery and danger right off. Son Ramses and his wife, Nefret are settling into their married life nicely. Amelia is concerned that Ramses might be recruited again into helping the officious British Army by spying again, so she sends the couple on to look into tomb thefts in Luxor.

As always, bodies and mysteries abound and the enjoyment begins for the reader. Remember these stories are set around 1915, and the likes of Amelia and her dangerous umbrella are unusual sights for the days. Nefret, the daughter-in-law is a doctor in a day when women stayed home and did not get mussed up in tombs with corpses.

I thought that we might be tired of this growing family by now, but this story was another fun mystery to follow, and a love story to revel in.
