This bilingual cookbook is the collaborative product of the Anderson Valley Adult School, which offers a variety of classes. The book is quite unusual as it is written in both English and Spanish. The women in the class wrote down their own recipes in English in order to learn their new second language. That makes the recipes understandable to us, and on the other hand the recipes are also listed in Spanish. There is a little bit of salsa history in the book, and each recipe is accompanied by a bit of information and a memory about the history, taste and flavor.

This enlightening cookbook is attractive and the recipes are truly authentic. Well worth a look and a taste!
