Have you caught up with this sensational mystery series as yet? You are in for a pleasant time if you start out with Hetty's first season. Now you can move on to the second season of this unusual female detective. Hetty was just a worried housewife whose husband had recently retired when she decided to open her own agency after finding out that she had a talent for sleuthing. Hetty is wonderfully performed as a down to earth woman with "Northern" sensibilities and an accent to match by Patricia Routledge. She works out of her home who has taken on a young assistant, Jeffery Shawcross to help her. Jeffrey is played by the very likable Dominic Monaghan who was a big hit as one of the Hobbits in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and is now appearing in the ABC TV series "Lost." There are six episodes to enjoy here, and a few extras that will give you a bit of on-up-man-ship over the PBS television viewers. Follow along with Hetty's case of "The Poison Pen," where a small village is being inundated with mysterious and anonymous letters which threaten to tell all. The mystery of "Lost Chords" gets very sticky when a whole group of award-winning singers began to loose their voice. Don't miss a minute of this great set from British television and the Acorn people.
