This series on cooking and traveling from Whitecap Books is awesome. I am especially fond of Chinese food so I found this paperback to be exceptionally produced with me in mind.

The recipes begin with some of the wonderful snacks and soups from China. You then move on to main dishes and vegetables. Rice and noodles grace these pictorial pages and the methods you need to learn about to reproduce these great recipes.

Just like the other books, this one is a tour of the country. It is filled with terrific color pictures of the streets and food. You will spend enough time to really soak in the ambiance. When you move into your kitchen and the grocery store trip you are more than ready to astound your friends and your family.

This could be a great gift for anyone you know that likes to cook for the sheer pleasure of it. You might treat yourself and add any of these 'Food of' titles to your own kitchen and use you own skills. Best of all is the journey through the topic country that is pictured here to get you into the right mood.
