This is a very handsome book with thick pages and a superb feeling of snow and cold that is of the land that this little bear was born into. A polar bear cub is searching for his mother, but he cannot find her. He decides to build a big snow-bear-mother to keep him company. In the end his mother returns and the little awakes up to find her beside him.

It's a very sweet tale, but the real beauty is in the pages and the illustrations.
