This is a New Age method of learning that is presented in an interesting way for the person who wishes to learn the drum. The book tells you to listen to the rhythm of life that is all around us. Our own heart, our own footsteps, the patter of rain on the roof, etc. Rhythm is all around us and it all relates to drumming. This instrument is one of the most ancient forms of music. According to this author anyone can pick up a drum and start banging away. The author tells us that we need to truly connect with the drum and it's beat you have to work on some feelings.

So what you have here is a book that is part instruction and part musical memory from the author. Buddy Helm has been drumming since he was eight years old and is currently presenting drumming workshops teach about the healing quality of the drum.

New Age, like I said, but interesting.
