I am a devoted fan of the “Monkey Wrench Gang” and this time they did not let me down. The group uses that name to peddle their computer skills and their fighting abilities. Two of the Monkey Wrench Gang are the founders, Grace and Annie. Along with Deputy Sharon Mueller this group is driving to a new assignment. A new serial killer is just emerging and this group hopes to find him. On the way their car breaks down and they get lost in the northern woods. Their cell phones don’t work here as they try to call for help. They abandon the car and all of their equipment and start to walk toward a town called, “Four Corners” where they find nothing and no one. What is going on? The women are well trained to take care of themselves, which is good because they run into some serious trouble when they enter a deadly area where people have been killed just for intruding. The rest of the Monkey Wrench gang takes off to find the women in an exciting and intelligent chase and rescue where they uncover a diabolical plan. It’s a clever and exciting plot to read. This is an intelligent tale as well as a chilling plot.
