If you want an exciting new experience in your cooking, this is the book for you! The pages are all in full color and there are three hundred plus pictures. This is the food you were so wrongly warned not to eat in foreign countries. Those wonderful and appealing odors that are enticing from the street vendors of Asia will be explained.

At least at home you know you are safe so you can have the courage to try a spicy dish on your family. If you have never been to Indonesia, the book is even more appealing. It is beautifully presented with a CD-ROM that is filled with movies, music, dance and pronunciation lessons as well as cooking demonstrations.

The recipes cover beverages, snacks and condiments, all the rice and noodle combinations, plus a nice selection of sweets. If this all sounds educational, believe me it is. The author has traveled through the many of the 18,000 islands that make up Indonesia in order to produce this book for a master's thesis. Now you can buy it and enjoy all the information it contains in both printed and electronic formats.
