According to Bill Nye, the water in the ocean is the same water that the dinosaurs drank, and the oceans were formed over four billion years ago. Bill also tells us what makes a fish a fish. It is fairly easy to see the sky and it's stars, but it takes all kinds of equipment to study the ocean depths. Tides have a relationship to outer space you can learn about it here.

As usual, you will learn a lot about any science subject that Bill Nye introduces to you and your children. Let's face it, we can all afford to learn more about how to keep our oceans in good shape and what would happen if there were no oceans. This informative children's book talks about sea plants and earthquakes in such an entertaining manner that it can keep a child's (and their parent's) attention.
