Author Bert Atwood tells the story of how his parents, Bud and Leila, both out of work during the depth of The Great Depression, started to work for a local crop dusting company and turned it into a small empire. Its a story told in words and pictures that reminds us of the heroism and determination of so many people who lived through those tragic times. Obviously, its a very personal story for Bert Atwood, and the book is filled with mini-biographies of notable figures in the history of cropdusting and other people who were important in the lives of his parents. Fascinating and inspirational.
