This is a happy merger of the voice of a fine actor, delightful poems and great music. Many famous orchestras have play this happy music while some very famous actors emoted the verses. Now John Lithgow has brought it all together in a highly colorfully illustrated book. It's filled with angels and kangaroos and some of the best poetry to read out loud that was ever written. The music is so familiar that we all recognize it instantly. We have heard and seen this collection of fun idea many times. Most recently in the Disney hit, Fantasia II where pink flamingos play with yo-yos to the notes. (I love this section of the film)

Now you can read the poetry (which is fun nonsense) to your small ones, and point out the animals in the brightly-colored illustrations. You can also play the music and listen this excellent actor recite the verses. This enchanting collection could become a family favorite for years to come.
