No one constructs a better or more twisted and amusing caper. There is a review of the book itself in our book section. For those of you who want a good listen in your car, or wherever, try this audiobook.

John Dortmunder is back and that is reason to celebrate in book and audio. John is a crook. There is never any doubt about that. All of his contacts are crooks. All of them are in and out of jail. Their wives are understanding and sometimes even helpful but generally they keep up the home front.

This scam that John has decided to put together involves the theft of a big collection of rare old automobiles. The cars are kept locked in a big garage on a huge estate in the country. Everyone in the area hates the owner. Not his wife who remains loving throughout.

The estate is well guarded and is impossible to break into. John decides that they will do an inside job by hiring on as help to the millionaire and his wife. There are always openings for help at the mansion. No likes the boss there.

John and his group get the jobs and move onto the estate. From here on the well-thought-out plan goes to hell.

Don't miss this wonderfully funny and clever new caper with Dortmunder and from Westlake. It's gem and it's well read.
