Molly and Neil Sloan wake up on the last day of the world. They can hear the drumbeat of rain on the roof. The rain is drenching their little California town. Hours pass and the news tells them of extreme weather conditions around the world. Then the fog arrives turning the whole town into a ghostly group of streets. By evening all forms of communication have failed. The rain slows down by the next morning but all night there have been strange lights and weird noises.

This story has unending fear and horror with a hunter who is terrifying the town and is bringing the apocalypse to this small town. You can depend on Koontz to chill your bones and haunt your dreams. All of his tales are unique and good and memorable.
