Review of "Here Lies the Librarian" by Richard Peck, Lara Everly

This award-winning author has written numerous books for young people. His awards include the coveted Newbery award. Lara Everly graduated from Wesleyan University with a theater degree. She has appeared in several films and she reads this book with a tone that brings the story to life.

The story takes place in Indiana. Peewee and his big brother live in this town, and it is the twentieth century. Irene Redpath is a young librarian and as she rides her bike into town she is planing to astonish everyone.

The characters are different - a bit quirky - in this story. It's a bit offbeat and a wicked tale that is funny and moving. This is a story for young adults to enjoy.
