Review of "Sunstroke" by Jesse Kellerman

Meet Gloria Mendez who makes a wonderful major character. Gloria has been in love with her boss for ages, even though he is twenty years old than she. It is a one way love.

The boss vanishes in Mexico on an unexpected trip, and Gloria does not believe the authorities are doing enough to locate him. She calls everyone she can think of, and then she finally goes to the last place where she could trace the boss. She finds that he died in an car accident, and then she finds out he has a history she never knew about. His hidden past is fascinating, and as it unfolds we begin to admire a clever and intelligent woman who is persistent in digging out the truth. A gripping mystery with an engaging main character. This is a writer to watch.
