It's rumored that the U.S. Government was doing some secret experiments in mind control. In this fast-moving tale, John Case invents a suspicious group called the Prudhomme Clinic which took over the psychic studies. The Prudhomme Clinic is now kidnapping people and turning them into killers who will target destabilizing the whole world order. One of their creations manages to break the conditioning and begins to question who he really is, or who he was before a computer chip was implanted in his brain. He teams up with a D.C. lawyer whose sister was murdered. The sister, it turns out, was one of the experiments. As soon as they begin to investigate the clinic, they find themselves in danger. The plot is frantic and well-worn, of course, but it will keep you breathless in the hope that this couple will make it.
