Review of "The Warlord's Beads" by Virginia Walton Pilegard, Nicolas Debon

Big and colorful illustrations accompany the story about a boy who lives in the beautiful palace of a Chinese warlord. The boys father has been given the job of counting the warlord's treasure of jewels, spices and rich brocades from all over the country. Sadly the boy loses count because of many interruptions. Enemies accuse him of stealing. Just in time his son discovers a special use for the warlord's lovely jade beads that will help his father keep good count of the treasures.
