This is a large (8-1/2" X 11") book that is affordable and enjoyable. The author has designed very large graphics with native Northwest Coast motifs. The story itself is about a prince who washes ashore during a violent sea storm. He finds himself in a strange village that is filled with very large beings. The people of the village teach the boy a lot and he learns to admire them but he wants to go home. He is told that he can do this anytime he wants.

It's a mythic tale that is written simply using big print and colorful pictures that will endure itself to a child until it is worn out.

Tricycle Press has also produced another paperback in this manner. Its called TRUTH IS A BRIGHT STAR (ISBN# 1-58246-055-8) and is a fictional account of a real event about Hopi children who were kidnapped by Spanish soldiers.
