Author Mark Bitmann is the noted author of a weekly New York Times column. This is not his first cookbook but even if you are not familiar with his earlier efforts you might want to take a look at this one.

These are all fast recipes for weeknight meals and casual entertaining. Fuss free is the author's aim in his cooking and he follows that comment through with about 100 recipes that have pretty fancy names but Bittman show you how to make them without much fuss.
