In "The Figitive Pidgeon" we meet Charlie Poole. Charlie is a couch potato and sometime bartender. He works for his gangster Uncle, Al. While he is running for his life and not understanding the reason, he meets a beautiful woman who saves his life. The plot is classic Westlake, with twists and comedic errors.
