For 40 years Eddie Cantor was a top comedian. From Vaudeville to television, he conquered a world of fans with his humor and his energy. When blackface first came into popularity in Vaudeville, this was the little man with burnt cork on his face who pranced across the stage while clapping his hands and singing his heart out. This excellent paperback contains the two autobiographies that Cantor wrote during his life.

MY LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS was released in 1928 and TAKE MY LIFE in 1957. As Cantor takes us with on his road to success, we are drawn into the flavor of the times and the era that Vaudeville flourished and filled people's lives with pleasure and laughter. There are more than fifty photographs to treasure, but it is the stories that Cantor wrote himself that takes us back into the history of his work.
