This is Ms. Brown's first effort. For her subject she has chosen to put together a slick book that will inform the reader about the last words and many bizarre burial rituals of many a famous person. This is a compendium of the deceased from the last century. The names will all be familiar to us but just in case the author has included a short biography of their lives as well as the story of their death. For example Gandhi's assassination and his flaming funeral pyres are included here. On the same day Orville Wright died. There are some very fine black and white photographs such as the one of Edison lying in state at his famous laboratory prior to the public display of his coffin. There are some fine pictures of the up-beat funeral of Jim Henson of Muppet fame. I remember the day he died because I was at Disney World celebrating the opening of the Muppet show at the MGM Studio, but I did not remember that Sammy David Jr. died on the same day. Eva Peron is included in the book, as well as The Notorious B.I.G. Twenty-four funerals and twenty for stories.

Any respectable ghoul will enjoy this one.
