This audio book novel is about a most cheerful and perverted man by the name of James Qatar. James has a hobby of taking pictures of women and turning them into very sexy drawings. One day he took a step too far and had to kill a woman. He just had to do it because, after all, he is an art history professor and he has a reputation to preserve. The trouble is that James discovers that he enjoys killing.

Deputy Chief Lucas Davenport decides to take this case on personally because he feels that some simple straight policework will help him to clear his head of other problems. The case turns out to be very twisted. The killer has learned to kill well and enjoys it. Lucas decides he must enter the lair of the murderous photographer.

If this one doesn't make you nervous, you are a lot braver than I am! Sandford excels at the art of heinous crime stories. His hero is likeable, but not pristine, and his villains are all completely loathesome.
