The Roger Ackroyd of the title is found murdered right off. All of the members of his household stand to gain from the death. They all look guilty. Poiroit has settled down to his retirement in the area of King's Abbot. He is growing vegetables and relaxing. He is quite reluctant to become involved in the mystery. Still, he is drawn into finding what appears to be a very clever killer.

Even when you abridge the heck out of a Hercule Poirot mystery, you still have a good story and this price here is certainly reasonable. Nigel Anthony does an excellent Poirot. His Belgian accent will draw you into this fine tale right away. This intriguing audiobook mystery is certainly one of Christie's best.
