Again we meet the six amazing children that were rescued from an evil doctor in the original tale, "When The Wind Blows." The last we saw of these beautiful children who have wings, they had been rescued from the evil doctor and freed from captive cages. They had taken up residence with their rescuers, Frannie the vet and Kitt, her lover. These children were the result of experiments that killed many babies who were deemed to be failures. The evil place where they were born was a laboratory that scrambled their genes before they were born. Parents were told that the babies died.

This adventure takes us into the courtroom where the legal parents are suing for the return of their birdlike children. Frannie and Kit love the beautiful children and the children love them, but they are returned to their real parents where they attempt to fit into regular lives. The wings and their amazing strength make them targets of cruelty by other children and adults.

Now there is another evil doctor prowling about who wants to capture the children for more experiments. So, on to another audio book adventure with Kit who has returned, and Frannie the vet, and the angelic children.
