"Stormcaller" is a fantasy tale of a world of powerful gods and a man named Isak who was born with powers of his own. Such men are called "white eyes", a special breed created by the gods to rule over the humans. Isak's gifts made his childhood difficult, but his fate turns darker when he becomes a teenager and the gods choose him to succeed Lord Bahl, the white-eye Lord of Farlan with a destiny he cannot fathom and a prophesy to fulfill.

This is the first book in the Stormcaller series, so much of the book is devoted to building a foundation for future episodes. The atmosphere of mysticism and mortality combines to create epic scenes where alliances and friendships are forged and battles are met and won. Nicely crafted with good characters set this series on a path many readers will want to follow.
