Review of "The Prince, The Princess, and The Bee" by David Kirk

David Kirk gives us another in the series "Miss Spider's Suny Patch Friends" books. It's the story told in charming rhyme about a young beetle named Shimmer who wonders if she is a princess like the newly born princess bee. Shimmer decides to go to the ball held by Mushroom Glen's king and queen jewel beetles in the hopes that it might attract their long lost princess. It's the sort of book you'll have to read to your children over and over again, while you all chuckle at the wonderful illustrations.
