Lane Smith gives us another wonderful children's book that follows the dreams of a young girl who imagines herself as President of the United States. Along the way, she performs all of the duties of the President - from giving speeches to attending state funerals and appointing cabinet secretaries. The elaborate and amusing illustrations dominate the pages with simple comments that explain what a President does. It's a charming children's book that introduces them to the meaning of the presidency, as well as conveying the possibility of a female President.
