Review of "Before You Were Mine" by Maribeth Boelts

Too many dogs and cats are abandoned or abused in this country, and they usually end up in animal shelters. This sweet story tells us all about all of the wonderful things dogs do for us when they live with humans. And some of the annoying things, too! Told in verse, its the story of a puppy who now has a new home, and his new owner is wondering out loud about what his life was like before he was rescued and adopted. Caution: your 'no pets' policy is going to be severely strained if you read this book with your kids. Good luck!
