Talented mystery writer Harlan Coben has won many honors for his writing, and is published in more than 28 languages. This time out, suburbia is given a rude awakening when an ordinary snapshot causes a mother's whole world to unravel. Grace Lawson is the mother and when she picks up a set of her family photographs from the store, she finds one that is out of place. The man in the picture looks like her husband. When Jack, the husband, is shown the picture he walks out of the house and vanishes.

There are all sorts of question now and Grace finds out that there are others looking for Jack and the photograph. In fact there is a killer looking for Jack.

Grace looks for help from her friends and neighbors as well as notifying the police. No one seems to care and Grace must face the dark corner of her own tragic past to find the truth.

A good mystery as usual from Cobden.
