We're not in Kansas anymore, that's for sure. Genotopia is a future world where bio-engineering has created a wide variety of 'humans', plants, and animals. Its a world where a young boy named Flint desparately searches for his sister, a healer and herbalist. Its a grim environment where Flint finds that true humanity still survives. The story serves as a reminder that science is a tool that can be abused if not kept in check by a free society. British author Keith Brooke treads fairly lightly on this theme of biology gone berserk, and keeps his eye on the story, which will satisfy science-fiction fans of all stripes.
