Deborah Davis' book takes us thorough all of the preparations and a little of the history of Truman Capote's most famous Black & White Party. The party was held at the Plaza Hotel in New York. The honored guest was Katherine Graham but the focus would be on Truman who has become a major author and star himself due the popularity if his novel, "In Cold Blood." Davis had access to Capote's private papers and personal document to present the reader with a fascinating tour into the elegance of the New York upper society. We are treated to a short history of the man and the path to his major success.

The guests who were invited to the party were among the most famous names of the year, which was 1966. There were famous performers and movie stars, as well as many best-selling authors and millionaires of that time. Best of all, this tasty takes us into the most wonderful gossip of the times as we meet and drool over.

The famous names that still bring us to some good and some torrid memories.
