Once again we join Dr. Kay Scarpetta as she is freelancing with the National Forensic Academy, and living in Florida. She digs into a bizarre case that has tantalizing clues about the inner workings of a cunning criminal. All of the familiar characters join in investigating the unusual connections between several terrible crimes.

Kay is looking into the disappearance of four people who were abducted from their quiet home. When they find a murdered female in a close by home / Scarpetta is being baited by a psychiatric hospital patient. He is giving her tips about the new monster. There are more killings. It all leads to a spectacular conclusion that draws the listener closer to the sopeaker.

Patricia Cornwell never lets her fans down and this unabridged audiobook is no exception. With a thrilling mystery and a good reader, how can you go wrong?
