This is a journey into the outrageously funny sitcom "The Addams Family" and the people who put them together that is sure to please the throngs of fans this 1960s sitcom has garnered in the past 35+ years. The great actors who portrayed the very strange family were some of the best known performers in Hollywood and on the stage. Gomez, who was portrayed by the devilishly handsome John Astin, has written a forward to the book and then you are launched into more than 100 black-and-white and 16 color photographs. You will also enjoy some works by Charles Addams that have never been published before. The stories that emerge from behind the scenes of the television show fill the book full of trivia that the reader can enjoy.

Does it take a fan to enjoy this updated chronicle? Nope. A fan will treasure the book and a newcomer can look for re-runs of the show which abound on your current cable shows. Did I mention Morticia, played so eerily by the sexy Carolyn Jones? She was the embodiment of the Morticia envisioned by Charles Addams in every way, and together with Astin and his crooked smile and the twinkle in his eye, they combined to portray a devoted couple that were the epitome of romance while staying true to Addams' dark humor.
