Review of "The Tony Award : A Complete Listing of Winners and Nominees with" by American Theatre Wing

Every year the American Theater Wing and the League of American Theaters and Producers present The Tony Award to the current year's best talents. This is an updated edition and it covers the Tonys from 1947 to the most current year 2000 presentations. Included is information about what the awards mean and how the honorees are selected.

Every year when I watch the Tony Award show on television I am reminded how much more I enjoy this presentation than any other award ceremony. I enjoy that they present bits from the current theater major hits.

The book brings to memory the quality of the theater programs from the many years I have missed. It's just a personal gripe, but I wish they would put more of these gems on videotape so that we all could enjoy them even if we cannot make it to Broadway to see them.
