This delightful little book is filled with photos and tails (ahem!) of the many dogs and puppies that have entered into out lives through films and television. The author begins by telling us that the only movie star who was not upset over sound being added to films was Rin Tin Tin. Rinty, as he was called, is shown in a 1929 still photo, and a more handsome animal would be hard to find. Long before Lassie Rinty was saving movie stars and leading the way for many other dogs to become famous film stars.

This book is filled with pictures and information about the four-legged stars that will always be in our hearts... Well, not Cujo perhaps, but lots of others. Asta from the "Thin Man" films, Benji, and on to Won Ton Ton, the hero of a film that was a take-off on the early life of Rin-Tin-Tin.

Anyone who loves dogs and Hollywood will enjoy this book, thanks to Coco (the author's dog).
