Marcia is a small child who does things like balancing herself on top of a lot of chairs to do jobs better done more safely. Worst of all is when she is in the kitchen. This is a Mary Poppin type of children's tale. Marcia's mom hires a helper, but instead of magical Mary Poppins, this is a real person.

Her name is Fannie Farmer, and we all know about her cookbooks that we use in today's kitchen. Before she leaves, Fannie shows Marcia how to cook and clean. Along the way we get useful household hints to use in real life. The tips are good to know. Our bonus is on the last page it's Fannie's recipe for making yummy pancakes.
