We all have busy lives these days, and while PDA's have been getting smarter and cheaper, on my desk the traditional paper calendar still rules the roost. Here we have this year's reviews of the best desk calendars and datebooks.

The Psychological Diary 2005 THE PSYCHOLOGICAL DIARY 2005 is a new datebook from the Redston/Chronicle Books folks, and you might be just the person to appreciate this spiral-bound oddity. It is filled with ink blots and information about Pavlov's Dogs, among other useful information. One
page shows a collection of the various tattoos that adorned members of the Mafia. Every week there is a different odd image to study. Some are real diagnostic tools used by real shrinks, and some are just a quick tour into madness. You could spend the entire year interpreting your own doodles or the ink blots that are supposed to tell something about what makes you tick. It's a gem of a new and strange diary to keep all your dates in and maybe learn about yourself. |

The year is available in a week by week format with an overall monthly calendar for notes, too. I never tire of this comic artist. |

There is plenty of room for notes and each page comes with large pictures of a kitten or two that are just darling. On the last few pages there is a listing of the whole year, which is perfect for keeping those birthdays you had better remember. It gets a "Best Of Cat" award from me. |
