Emily The Strange 2005 Wall Calendar EMILY THE STRANGE is available again this year from Chronicle Books. She is really mysterious and strange. She can be a lot eerie fun for the whole year. This calendar is dark and Emily is very white. She has strange friends, black cats and an X-ray kitty. You'll find a handsome poster inside of Emily along with the calendar. Fans already know her, but you might find a new image for your year if you have not yet met this very odd girl. They call her a bad girl, gone worse.

Lion King 2005 Calendar THE LION KING is a Disney beauty from the MeadWestvaco folks who have the best collection of Disney titles on the market. This one is a 16-month calendar so that you can put it up right away and enjoy these beautiful color pictures from one of the very best of Disney films of all time. A great picture of the great animal kingdom and the inhabitants tops each month. To add to the color of this African picture safari each month's page shows a printed frame in the style of that county's patterns. Fans will love it and I do mean adult fans and children. |

Disney Princess 2005 Calendar DISNEY PRINCESS shows the fairy tale princesses that have been the stuff of Disney films since Snow White in 1938. "The little Mermaid," "Mulan", "Snow White" and many more. The pictures are beautiful. These are the large images of the Disney lovelies that we all know. I would guess that little girls would love this one, but there are a lot of us adult fans of Disney art that would get 16 months of pleasure with these beauties on our wall, too. |

Finding Nemo 2005 Calendar FINDING NEMO is one more Disney calendars from Day Dream/MeadWestvaco. It includes all of my favorite characters from the films. I am a true Nemo fan. I love everything the Pixar folks have produced, from Knick-Knack to Monsters, Inc. Nemo is one of my special loves. On this one you will be able to enjoy these characters for 16-months. |

Looney Tunes 2005 Calendar LOONEY TUNES is a 16-month calendar from Day Dream/MeadWestvaco. Many of us grew up with the Warner Brother's great short cartoons. Here is a collection of those great characters that still shine today. Porky, Wiley, Sylvester and all the rest. My favorite character is Foghorn Leghorn the rooster with his bombastic southern accent (Anyone else out there remember Senator Claghorn from the Fred Allen radio shows of the 1940's? Mel Blanc, who provided the voices of the Looney Tunes characters, was also in demand in radio at this time, and based this character's voice on Allen's character with the broad Southern drawl). Each month is a brightly colored poster that you could frame when 2006 comes around and then you will want to choose another Mead calendar. |

In fact, it may get hard to find because these character are going to join a long list of excellent great characters from Pixar and Disney. This time it's a whole family of super powers. The movie is the biggest hit of any Pixar release. I bet this calendar will join the toys from this movie to become a collectible, too. |

A Year of Bad Habits for 2005 Wall Calendar BAD HABITS is a delightful calendar. It is full of nuns having fun. They are rafting and dancing and watching television, among other activities. The photographs are in black and white. The title is a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor. Nuns playing pool and fishing are among the images to giggle over. The cover notes that if you ever went to Catholic school and had your knuckles rapped by a nun, you will enjoy this amusing and irreverent calendar. |

Coots 2005 Calendar COOTS is a hilarious calendar from Ronnie Sellers. Each month introduces you to a new Coot. I especially liked the January picture of "The Karioke Coot" who looks like Elvis if he had lived another fifty years. Each month is a new Geezer or Codger, and they are a fun look into the over-the-hill gang. Also, each month tells you all about every old man who is wonderfully portrayed by artist Mike Dowall. |

Biddys 2005 Calendar BIDDYS is the counterpart to the "Coots" calendar. All females are equally funny. Each month show a different old biddy. She is either all dressed up or sitting under the dryer. She is playing Bingo in another month and a cat lover the next. You will learn about her habits and her activities. If you know and like "The Red Hat Society," this one is for you or for a dear old Auntie. Again the artist is Mike Dowdall. |

Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy 2005 Wall Calendar LADY COTTINGTON'S PRESSED FAIRY CALENDAR is an annual delight to keep on your wall. Here is a collection that is all new for our horror and enjoyment. It seems that Lady Cottington's sisters took the famous original pictures of fairies. In an evil effort to get even, Lady Cottington played squash-fairy and kept them in an album. She would catch one and squash it on top of the picture. Yuck! But it makes for as funny collection of surprised fairies, one for each month. The look on the face of the fairy and the position they were caught in is very amusing. Remember this was all from the imaginations of two little girls and a new camera. |
