Welcome to our August 2003 children's books reviews
archive. We are always looking for new books to stimulate young readers. Whether it's a
simple children's storybook to read your kids to sleep, or a book that shows them the enchanting
worlds they can find only through reading, we continue to search for new treasures in
children's books, and hope you enjoy this backissue of our reviews of books for children.

Where's Waldo? In Hollywood By "special size" they mean it's big. The book measures 16-1/2" tall and 13-1/2" wide. The special edition of the original book has all the fun and the publishers have added some really eye-candy extras to play with. You can look for Waldo and many of his friends and the other characters. The Hollywood Book is wonderful to look at. Each double page is a Hollywood film set and it heavily populated with actors and equipment. You could spend hours looking for Waldo on these very busy pages. These are books for the whole family and there are other titles in this special size format that you might look at also is not a game for very small kids, but it can be a family project and then even the small ones can join in looking for Waldo and Co. There are checklists of the things you can find in each scene. The Where's Waldo children's books are winners for a family gathering. |
